Environmental Liability

Protecting the business is the concern of every business owner.

This principle gives rise to the “polluter pays”, position, on which the Community Directive 2004/35/EC and P.D. 148 (Government Gazette A’ 190/29-9-2009), by which this Directive was incorporated into Greek law, are based.

The prevention and remediation of environmental damage is the sole responsibility of the perpetrator, who bears the financial burden for its restoration.

Environmental liability insurance covers damage to the natural environment (water, air, soil, protected species and natural habitats) and compensates for costs of:
